Lidded Porcelain Vessel My medium is porcelain clay. Each piece is an original design and made one by one. The glaze I use is a crystalline glaze and because of the nature of the glaze no two pieces will ever be alike. The lids of each vessel are hand sculpted porcelain with a metallic glaze that mimics a bronze surface. Our world has become so saturated with machine made production items. Fine crafted works of art are becoming a rarity. We strive to created true works of art that can be cherished by their collector and to be enjoyed by generations to come. |
Misty Giants 24"x32" SOLD Each Original is created with Texture Medium Alkyd and Oil Paint. A wood panel is carefully textured with attention to how it will look after layers of Alkyd are sanded and reapplied. The panel is sanded and re-glazed as many as eight times to give it an old or weathered look. A thin glaze of Alkyd is then applied and becomes the surface for the final tonal landscape which is rendered in Oil. |
